If the dealer does something to fix your compass during that service I'd be interested in knowing what they did to solve your problem. Mine does the same thing as well, more so in the summer than in the winter. Can you post what the dealer ended up doing for you please?
My car went in yesterday and the dealership replaced the electronic compass module. So far so good! I haven't had any calibration messages and it has been much more responsive to displaying the direction than before

Well, it'* been two or three weeks now since my dealer replaced the compass module. Since then, not even a hint of a problem! Glad it was warranty though - retail on the part alone is $290.00 CDN.
