Default climate control problem

My tempature reading is flashing,the air dont come out where its directed to,and now the heating and cooling is not working right.I swoped out the control part but that one did the samething.I need some heat down here in TN.The problem is on my 98SLE.Any ideas? Thanks for any info SOCLEANONE

Where is the air going? Defroster only? Does it ever switch to heat on the floor if you push the button?

If there'* no sign of vacuum working on any of the doors you have have a vacuum hose off at the motor or at the vacuum tank in front of the right wheel inside the fender.

You might have a vacuum connector problem at the controller down on the heater.

The above thread has a ton of good troubleshooting. As mentioned your vacuum comes from under the fender and not the firewall (I had a 95 and was very new at that time).

Highlights I would say are pull the glove box and observe the actuator. Check vacuum inside the car on the purple line and read that super long but very detailed thread.
