Is it possible to get red/orange units to replace the now green compass, climate control, and car display center deal? How about to change the HUD to red?

I can't think of a way to do it... Not without custom-made displays.

That'* sorta what I was wondering...if anyone had heard of customs, or maybe if a 97 (?)+ grand prix display (2000+ bonnie?) would fit the pinout of our older displays. Too bad each segment isn't driven by only one simple circuit...then you could use LED'*....

I assume the red displays of a '94 (?) or higher model won't plug-in-swap in place of the green VF displays of a '92/'93? (I know, that'* probably hoping for too much)

They are still green all of the way through 1999.

Oh. Was it GPs that have the red displays, then? I thought the newer Bonnes switched to red displays in order to blend better with the red lighting... (Heck, I _like_ the contrast of the green displays myself...)

Yes, the all-red displays came in 2000 for the Bonneville, and 1997 for the Grand Prix.
