Cleaning battery cables with.... coke?
Stupid Clyde decided to quit starting again, so I figured I'd try cleaning the cables/ boots since that seemed to solve the problem last time. I have been just using a wire brush, but I wanna make really sure they get clean so I can troubleshoot better in case this doesn't work. I don't have baking soda (or a car to get it, ha). Some people told me to dump coke on them... I have coke... but that sounds a tad redneck for my comfort. So has anyone heard of that? Or is that just retarded?

not retarded. there is some truth to it.
i saw mythbusters try that. it worked ok IIRC, but not as well as others.
i think the acidity of salsa worked well.
