this is a odd problem i've never seen before. When you open the drivers doorchime will come on like the key is in the ignition. the security light flashs as normal when u open the door and goes solid when you lock the door and shuts off whne u close it. When opening the passenger door the chime doesnt go on. when you put the key in the ignition or turn on the lights the chime speeds up till you take it out or turn off the lights when it goes back to a somewhat slower chiming...

i've checked all fuses.

any ideas?

very strange, well it will not chime when any of the other doors are opened, its to remind the driver his lights are on or key has been left in the ignition, could be something with the ignition switch but I can't think of a way to test it all out

It was my light switch. I pushed on it and it moved in a mm or so further and the chime stopped. Thank you for the suggestions. Problem solved.
