cigarette lighter causes static
first off, Hi to all. long time reader, first time poster, anyways. I have a 2003 sle and everytime i use the cigarette lighter to charge my cell phone the radio goes completely to static and you have to turn it down or off. Is there something i can do to fix this?

My guess is that the charger uses some electronic switching to lower the voltage to charge things, and that is producing some radio frequency interference. It would take some testing to see if it is radiated, or fed back through the power lead. Without knowing your skills, I don't know how far you may want to dig into things.
