Yea the front. That was what I turned on to see the LH fan spin down yesterday.

I'm hoping with a VOM and the 3 fuses I have to be able to figure out whats bad and if its a fan motor bad, get a new one before the summer.

The "Low Coolant" indication has been coming on frequently on my info center (always did occasionally, but always had plenty of coolant in the system). I wonder if the fuse blown is tied into that???

I could tell from your 1st post that you knew how to make the fans come on.
I can post a wiring diagram if you need it.

Thanks for the offer for the schematic, but I have a FSM (although its at work right now). I really do think its the RH fan from what I've seen so far. I'll do some looking around and hopefully get some good info that I can share!!

Well, it wasn't a too productive morning on the Bonne.....

I couldn't find my VOM (got put somewhere after using it and I can't find it!!!) So I wasn't able to do much troubleshooting. But I did find out somethings...

I unplugged the RH fan because I what I saw earlier (not spinning). Had my wife start the car and turn on the defroster. The A/C kicked on but the fan didn't !!! So I turned the car off and checked the fuse and it was still ok. I plugged the RH fan back in and started the car again dropped the temp down with the defroster on. The LH fan started but the RH didn't. Ran for a couple of minutes, shut car off. Restarted and same thing happened. No blown fuse but no RH fan.

Its my understanding that both fans turn on when the A/C is turned on, but my RH fan isn't turning. So I"m somewhat happy that the fuse isn't blowing. I wonder if it finally went bad...

This won't be the end because I think the radiator is leaking... Oh well, with 140K miles I guess I won't complain.

Happy New Year to all.

HI -
Can anyone verify that both fans are supposed to be turning when the A/C it turned on?? I still hadn't blown the fuse as of last night and only the LH fan was spinning...

I'm wondering if the RH fan just finished going bad and opened up electrically. Still haven't been able to find my VOM. I think I spent more time looking for it than putting dielectric grease on my new plug wires, installing the metal shields for the plug boots and working on the fan. Moving sure disrupts everything!!! No established place to put things.

If someone would be so kind to reply with this question I would greatly appreciate it, then I'll order up a replacement fan.

Thanks in advance.
