I located similar symptoms to my problem regarding the security light coming on and then the car doesnt start. Getting out of the car and slamming a few doors and the trunk seem to fix the problem.

Is the problem related to the trunk switch? Does disconnecting the trunk switch fix the problem? I dont have a security system, just the remote button for locking the doors and opening the trunk. Please advise by email if you know.
