Is the click coming from the relay or the starter?

the relay, had local dealer on phone and he said might be small wire behind key switch, but I don't think so because it does everything it is supposed to except start.

you said you know the starter is good right?
will it start if you for the starter to turn over while the key is in the running position?

Did you check ALL the wire connections at the starter? I think the problem is between the relay and the starter. The key trips the relay, so the key should be working.

well if it starts and then dies it means something is cutting of the fuel/spark or both. my guess would be the guy in your steering column. bill probably can explain this better.

The way I understand him, it'* not starting or cranking. He'* only hearing a click from the relay on the fire wall.

It doesn't do anything, have been searching and everything keeps pointing to the security in it. If the key chip is bad, will disable starter and fuel pump. Does this sound right?
