Default Help please! Module issues ***UPDATED - Nov 5 w/pics***

Hey everyone

I've been using the "search" feature for over an hour and I'm not having any luck :( My current situation is:

No interior lights when door(*) are open
pwr trunk button does not work
pwr door locks don't work
lighted keyholes don't work anymore
radio doesn't stay on anymore when key is removed
interior lights will work when I turn the **** all the way back
pwr atenna not working either (guessing motor might have died, not sure if its related)

The above features all worked when I purchased the car this past summer and crapped out apprx. 2 weeks ago.

Now, I do not have remotes in case someone asks. My car has the OEM security if that matters or not. I have checked and I mean CHECKED every single fuse there is to check. I do not have a tester to do any of the wire tests I've been reading about. Also, I'm not 100% sure but do 95'* not have a BCM? Reason I'm asking because this was the part that went **** up on my father'* 96 SSEi when he had some similar problems so I picked one up @ the wreckers this past weekend only to find out that my car DOES NOT have one? This is the part I"m talking about:

Name: MALL.jpg
Views: 106
Size: 20.4 KB

Now, I have found the following 2 modules but I have no idea what they are. I can't find any answers on the net either. Part# 25615095 (black box with 2 seperate blue connectors on 1 end and 1 white connector on the other end) Part#25608923 which is a small grey box probably the sixe of pack of smokes I guess? If these descriptions don't help then I can take pictures tomorrow and email them to whoever would be willing to help out.

I can't check this website from work so if someone needs/wants/has some questions please feel free to email me here: bturcotte@tph.ca

Please help! :o I"m ready to run this thing off a cliff!!! :P

If it was that ground buss, I'm surprised his fuel pump still works IMO.

We've seen many ground buss issues that didn't stop the FP and many other things. All depends on how bad it is, if that'* what the issue is.

I'm sure your car is equipped with a BCM. Ground buss is a very good possibility. The fact that you can manually turn on interior lights indicates that the BCM may be faulty. RAP is what maintains power to radio & pwr windows after ign. off.

When Dillcc referenced that picture, he should have used my other one also. Here it is...

You want to pull this out and check for corrosion. Clean if necessary

If you can, clean these also.

Great pics, thanks! What do you guys use or suggest to clean those terminal adapters with?

Here are the 2 modules I was talking about, they are both located on the passenger side floor area between the PCM and fuse box area........now can anyone tell me if these would be causing me any problems and what are they for/called? Thanks again. I wanna solve this damn thing sooooo bad :P

To clean those terminal adaptors, I suggest using battery terminal cleaner inside the contacts themselves. For the bussbar, sandpaper will clean that up nicely. I can assume that this problem is usually only related to cars driven in the snow country. Snow and ice get dragged into the drivers side, melts and corrodes that connector. Gets worse when you have road salt mixed in with the snow. Passenger side shouldn't be a problem. Unless you have passengers getting in and out as much as the driverside.
