Well, I knew the battery was under the backseat.
But, I never actually looked until today.
It sounds like this is true for 2000-2005 Bonnevilles
I didn't see any pictures on this website after a search....

Anyway, while I had my camera out for my little blower fan problem...
I snapped a few pictures for the rest of us that never looked under the seat before.

The back seat is easy to remove. It'* very light. Do not be afraid.
It'* held down by a couple spring clips. Just pull upwards on the front of the back seat.
And under the seat... yes! You've read about it! You've dreamed about it! The battery! and most of the interior fuses.
The fuse cover is removed by squeezing the clips on each side inwards. (same as the fuse box under the hood.)
There'* a nice chart under the cover. Be warned, the chart seemed to be "upside down" for me.
There'* a fuse puller in there and spare fuses.

yup. i have taken apart the rear fuse block, and added to it.

The cover seems like it expects you to be kneeling on the center console to look at it properly.

When you say the "front" of the back seat, do you mean where the cushion meets the back or the front where your legs are?

You just pull up without unlatching anything?

Funny, I know I read my whole manual, but I dont recall there being a page on this.....I will have to recheck it.

Front, as in the part you sit on. Lift the front, as in the part towards the front of the car.

You just give it a little tug straight up, and it lifts out. There'* no latch, just a spring loaded clip.

I haven't put mine back yet, but you put the back end under the seat back. Then push done on the front until it snaps in.

Once you have the seat out, you can see the square holes in the floor board and the spring clip under the seat.

I believe I have an se I’m not sure about that part but I do have a 2005 Pontiac bonneville and is the fuses box same I didn’t know i had that under my rear seat and some of my dash board lights don’t work but the ones that do coordinate with the dim twilight sentinel switch and work for the ones lit up but my Speedometer light is not working all warning lights work the radio heat and ac work but cig lighter doesn’t work in front but the one in back does and the courtesy lights work and all head lights and brakes lights work , what fuse would I look for on the map and how is proper way to pull them out and put them back in to see difference do I need to go buy some fuses ? Which amps would I need I think 15 a right maybe 10 but I think the dashboard is like 30a
