Question 1999 SSEi Heads Up Display

After 2 to 3 years not working, I saw a slight green glow and changed the HUD settings. Magically the HUD worked for about 12 hours. Now, it'* gone again. Any ideas or opinions about how to fix it or what the problem is?

Could be something small or large. Without pulling the trim panel and looking at the connector and or other stuff, it'* very tough to suggest. Usually the Bonneville Huds are solid, it'* the Grand Prix ones that go dim. (photocell has a cold solder joint)
