He would have said something about that if he could. He has my number if he figures something out. I told him we have like 5-10 people looking for some.

I'd say a bit more than that...

From what I've seen over the years, I'd say that you're right, Vince. Nothing against anyone here at all, but history shows that 20-25% actual buyers vs. those very interested is actually a good turn out. This is true everywhere in real life, not just on car club forums.

I agree, especially when they see the 600-800 dollar price tag.

ok....ok

so more digging has revealed this....

http://www.fibersmith.net/scoops.html

and also this

this is VERY close to the SD hood

now these would have to be adapted to the stock hood, but im betting it could be made functional with some cutting ( i went and measured on my hood)

I like it, Pat!

It would certainly give your car a Bad A$$ look in addition to providing underhood cooling.

How about asking "alexcoqui" if he could do this for us? Don't know what kind of production capabilities he has but he has done some good work??

Just to let you guys know...

We tried this a few years ago over at www.naioa.com and we couldn't find anyone to do a custom hood for us. We faught over designs and settled finally on one to no avail still to this da there are only a few hoods for the 00-05 impala..

The only thing I would suggest is to and this is my idea...

Get me the designs you want and let me see what I can do my guys in the glass shop should be slowing down this fall and I will get an IDEA on what ti is going to cost me to produce a mold, The only problem and It will take a while Is I can not do 15 hood designs and It must be different then a factory GM hood, But as soon as you add either something like the WS6 scoops it becomes a prototype.. so there is no copy right infringement.

I just need anyone who is interested to agree on a design. My idea was to graph in the WS6 scoops.. make a mold then lay out the glass. It would be up to you after delivery to mount as Im not getting into the underside of the hood. basically it would only be the top like a good hood design.
