I had great luck with the mr clean magic eraser for purely SURFACE paint scrapes - like if someone opens a door into you and leaves some bright red paint on your dark cherry car Also, somehow my passenger side mirror had a big white scuff about 3"X3" and the magic eraser took care of it without damaging my car'* paint. It might be something cheap ($3) to consider. It might surprise you like it did for me. Just be sure to keep the eraser really wet while doing it.

Any auto parts store or any store that carries car washes and waxes should have a clay bar by either Meguiars or Clay Magic. Just look for it with the car washes and waxes. I just bought the Clay Magic bar at Autozone for about $8. Meguiars was a smaller bar and cost about twice as much.

the clay will not help the Ox-ed paint or the burnt paint....the clay actually pulls stuff out of the clear....so if there is no clear you will make the problem worse
