Not to be pushy, but I still think you should give that magic eraser a try for the scuff marks 
Just keep it wet and be persistant and the white junk will come off.
It'll take any other scuff marks you have from shoes or anything else on the rest of your interior trim too. You'll find lots of places to use it really, probably worth the couple bucks to try it.
