Went to dinner with my wife last night, in a less than desirable location and when we came out of the restaurant, some Delinquent/Vandal/ P.I.T.A.- decided to use either a screw-driver or other flat tool and pryed away my side molding just below the gas tank cap.
I managed to get it back into place , but they sheared the two front clips so now the molding is not flush with the side of the car-

Whats a real good / strong brand of Trim Adhesive that will hold up to all kinds of weather - i live in northern NJ

Try 3M double sided foam adhesive tape. Should be able to get it at HD or Lowes.

There is also a trim and weatherstrip adhesive that can be used.

Also made by 3M or a different brand?

There are many out there. You'd need to find some and research it. the 3M tape should also do the trick as mentioned.

Man, I'm sorry. I'm normally pretty laid back, but vandalism on someone else'* car just makes my blood boil. To me, it'* like spray painting over an artist'* painting. We/I work on the look of our car to make it uniquely ours, and they ruin that...for what? Sigh...

The 3M weatherstrip and trim adhesive is designed for the very purpose you need it for. Most auto parts stores sell it in a package that has a cylindrical clear bubble glued to a flat cardboard hanger.

The tape is a medium gray color with a red release liner on it. It will give you a permanent bond if you get both surfaces very clean first.
