I thought it was the primer that GM had an issue with? Which was the reason why I had to paint my car to begin with.

It was an auto paint store here in town. Maybe it was because of the common GM Bright White color that made it cheap? I don't know. That was a long time ago. One thing I do remember was, when you mix the reducer and primer together, whooo boy does that stuff STINK!

cheapest i found was that site i posted for good epoxy primer/black base/clear was about 300 by itself. they give you the activators and such with it for the 300. so im looking at another hundred at least for sanding junk, tape, etc. im not going to be able to convince the wife of that even let alone how much ppg and stuff like that costs, they were double on tcpglobal.

as far as the gm paint what i remember was the "scientific" test, the tech put a 2 or 3 inch piece of masking tape on the surface and a huge chunk of paint would come up when they peeled it off. saw this on a few people i knows gm'*. if nothing came off you didnt get a free paint job. to long ago to remember if the primer was still there but im leaning toward yes.

You might be able to sand down to the BC, throw a fresh coat of base on and CC after that.
