Default Turn Signal

I was looking in a store for the SilverStar turna signal bulb and the guy was sold out.
But then he told me that they have a red LED turn signal.
Which would look better?

Wouldnt red be against the law? Flashing red can be confused for emergency vehicles, so i think it would fall under some laws.

Yes. Turn signals MUST be amber/orange by US law in the front. Back can be red.

My friend in his Cavalier was pulled over numerous times for having red turns in the front.

I live in Alberta and the guy told me it was legal.
He told me the blue ones were illegal though.

You should be cautious where you source your information. Clearly, this individual doesn't know what he'* talking about. As with your post I replied to regarding window tint in Alberta, here is the excerpt applicable to FRONT signal light standards. No, RED is not legal on the front in Alberta. This information comes from the same act as window glazing. Look back at your other post for the link to the legislation. This is THE law as it applies in Alberta.

----------

Signal lamp standards

23(1) This section applies to a vehicle, other than a towed implement of husbandry, manufactured on or after January 1, 1971.

(2) One set of turn signal lamps on a vehicle that has turn signal lamps must comply with the following:

(a) they must be located at or near the front of the vehicle;

(b) they must be on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable;

(c) when lit, they must emit white or amber light that is plainly visible from at least 250 metres ahead.
