Default Taking Apart Headlights?

Hey guys...I just need advice on seperating the glass cover from the rest of the headlamp assembly. I let driver side get nice and warm and slowly got a screwdriver between the 2 parts and after about 20 mins got it all the way apart. I cannot get the passenger side to seperate at all, The actual plastic is chipping and bending. Any suggestions? Im doin some subtle changes to my car so I painted all the sourounds black and the parking light area black. It looks awesome, but wont look too awesome with only one side done.
