old bath towels work great for the money :wink: They are big enough you can get the whole car. Before I use one I use my hand as a squeegee to get the excess water off, it works well for all the ridges and stuff.

This is something I learned about bath towels awhile ago...
You must be careful which you use.... Alot of bath towels include a blend of polyester and nylon that will definitely scratch and leave swirl marks in your paint finish. The rule of thumb is to use high quality Brand Name large bath towels (Cannon or Fieldcrest) that say 100% cotton and made in the USA. Towels sold in bags in Auto Stores are not 100% cotton. Look carefully on the bag it will probably say made in Pakistan or Bangladesh or other foreign country. Do not use these towels. They will cause swirl marks and scratches on the paint surface. Always, remove the stitching around the towel prior to use. Bargain store polish applicators also contain polyester and nylon fibers and are not to be used. Also, when washing your towels, do not use any type of fabric softeners. Always use White towels. Do not use Colored Towels they contain dyes. |
hmm...i guess ill check what my towel is made of the next time i dry my car.

The absorber can be rung out :wink: and used forever. It doesn't rot, or mold when stored wet either.

I love it! actually I just chucked that old one...and bought a brandy new one! they are the balls! Wet and ready for action...Just the way i like um :roll: :wink: |
The absorber worked well.. had it dry till it was a crisp.. put some water in it.. and came all nice and spongy and stored it in the tube. I notice the material was better then the cheaper ones that was half the price.. but nah.. if it last for 2 years.. I think it made it's money worth.. and you had it for 6? :shock:
Car was spotless.. wow.. clean the crap out of it.. then used meguirs quick clay system and the amount of dirt thats coming out :puke: holy imbedded.. thought it was clean.. but its smooth and finished off with only 1 coat of gold class :oops: .. didnt' have time for another coat or two.. but will do that next time I wash the car... promise :angel: But wow wat a difference.. will take some pics later today ( not as clean now though cause of driving to work :cry: |
