Well I am at it again, another mod that is about to take place as soon as I have some free time.
In my opinion the absolute biggest thing you can do to a car to change its appearance is changing the rims on it. every vehicle I have put different rims on has changed the look dramatically.
Since I don't care to spend the amount of money needed to upgrade to different wheels and tires, why not once again use my knowledge and skills/resources and do something to the wheels I already have?
Well I have been thinking about what I can do, and after some playing around in photoshop after I made a decision on what I want to do, I am sold on the look.
From one of my other threads I mentioned that I stripped the gold off my SLE badges to make them stainless/chrome appearing, and then coated them to give them a black chrome look. I love the look of them and want to tie my wheels into that theme as well.
I am not a big fan of plain black wheels, or all black wheels. I love chrome, and shine, so I am going to "black chrome" the inside of the spokes...basically the rough area on this style wheel, if you have them on your car you know what I mean.
Here is just a quick photoshop of what it might look like. Once I do the first wheel I will decide how dark or light I want to go etc.. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but it is going to be done and once it is I will then let everyone know more specific details and of course post pictures!
Here is how they look now:

And here is somewhat how I plan to make them look:

Some of you might like it some of you might not, but I figure it will really make the car stand out, and it will only cost me my time and cost of material so why not do it?

Ok a few more pictures I found on my computer to photoshop.(some are older and don't have the current mods in them)
Obviously the final outcome of the wheels, and what they look like will not be how the pictures show them, being you can only get a general idea in photoshop, but im pretty sure I am going to go through with this, and won't know how dark I will be going until I am working on them. Better to go lighter and then darker later, than to go too dark and not be happy with it...
