My dealership is closed today, and I'm wondering if anyone could find the part number for a beige, leather wrapped 1993 steering wheel.

The finish is coming off mine :(

The dealership can no longer get them? I assumed they would be available since they get crushed in accidents and need replacing.

GM only makes parts for 10 years after the car has been produced......

95 still had the same color, right? Maybe that will work.

This is the only place I've found that recovers steering wheels. When I called then, they quoted me $260 to recover my wheel. I said the hell with that and decided to do it myself. I used an extra one from a parts car I bought so if I screwed up, I still had one that was OK.

There is another source but I don't like the way the leather goes over the spokes rather then conforming to them. These are only about $60 and you have to stitch them yourself. It'* not very difficult... it requires more dexterity than skill.

Thanks for the link Randy. It looks like they do quality work. I emailed them for a price for the gearshift as well as the wheel.

Now does anyone have a junk steering wheel and shifter they would sell cheap?

I called the dealer today. With a discount, it would be almost $500.

Go with an aftermarket maybe? Or a wheel off another GM? I'm sure it would fit, knowing GM'* penchant for interchangability.
