It is illegal to run tails with no reflectors in them. My friend has a mini truck with just LEDs and he gets tickets all the time.

hrmm...i didnt know that...there are a few custom trucks around me, and havent been bothered

If your tails don't come around the side of the car like in a 1996 Cadillac Deville, then you have to have reflectors on the quarter panels. You have to be able to see reflectors from both sides and the back.

Right..there are certain legal standards that apply in all states. Similar to not changing a brake lights color to orange...
