I can't figure out how to do paint photoshop, all I can do is lowering and swapping of rims.
I wanted to see what the hood would look like if the center section was painted a darker silver, almost grey.
Think anyone could do it?

Ehh, my dad vehemently believes that I need to paint the center section (starting from the front following the angled lines) from hood to trunk (skipping the roof).
I told him that would look weird
I told him that would look weird
I`m kind of leaning toward the first or second one.... due to it being more subtle
...less "in your face"...unless you`re going for that BAM! look.
Working on a stripe package myself...and willwren suggeted a more
toned down approach for me, sport flair with some class.
I`d have to say..with some xtra thought, that he is correct.
I see where your Dad`* suggestion come into play...
these pontiacs have body lines that your eye will follow
and your second colour should compliment those lines...at least a bit.
What may look good in one view, may clash and
look "off" at another angle or light. Everthing swoops to our grills
and your eye naturally follows that path. Don`t think I`d do the trunk though...
but hey !...just my winded 2 cents worth! Good luck!

You maybe right...try a PS and see...can`t hurt.
You`ll notice from my situation I`m working on an idea
similar to yours...straight down as much as possible...
only angling the stripes where the contours come into play
( because our hoods kind of "bulge" upwards... and out from those
hood lines. Solid stripe on mine would be too much (being white)
but I think yours being silver (nice looking car, by the way!).. would
take a solid hood well !
Leaning towards lighter steel-blue or silver myself.
Keep us all posted...I`ll post mine. We both have to engineer the right
look rather than slap something on ***** nilly!
Cheers.
