Default Painting Door PIllars

The black shiny paint on my door pillars (the parts near the glass) is peeling. Has anyone come up with a good way to touch this up or fix it? I have a bottle of black touch up paint but now there is so much coming off it looks like spraying may be a better method.

Will, you are saying to replace that whole piece? What holds them on? I tried to take one off before but it seemed to be on there real good. I can't believe I went all this time thinking I couldn't replace them. I am assuming they were always black.
