I've been thinking about the same deflector after seeing the original thread. Looks good either way IMO.
I also travel roads going to work that have alot of truck traffic.
I think it would look really good against against a darker color without painting it .

Wait wait wait.... Back up the horse.... Are those 96-99 headlamps in there? Or some really nice covers?

But the front edge of the hood seems to take a beating, each rock hit leaves a chip down to the metal, so I find this deflector does the job for me, it protects the front edge of the hood and with the turned up back edge seems to be able to protect the whole hood, and maybe even give a little bit of protection to the windshield
