Default new paint care questions

i'm getting my car painted this week and i wanted to know if anyone had any info on keeping the paint as vivid and shiny as possible

keep it clean! dont wax it for a few week ot it may actually dull the paint by traping solvents

Garage if possible. Mud/splash gaurds will help keep road dash down. What color? White again? need before and after pics!
