Cool Need your opinions on Some Custom Work!

Well after I painted my engine cover I started to get an itch for doing some more things, this time on the exterior of the car that anyone can see (rather than only when the hood is open)

I always notice the huge section of reflector on the back of these cars, and since it really is just that, a reflector, I think it is something I could do without. To be unique I started to think of possibly painting right over it the same color as the car. By doing this the lines of the rear of the car would still be kept, but it would give it a unique look.

My other thoughts are either black out (tint) the center section only, or tint the entire rear section.

I have posted pictures below of what it MIGHT look like with each option and want your opinions.

What would be really nice is being able to find a second rear section for cheap and do a mock-up version to see if I even like it and if I don't I can leave it stock.

Let me know what you all think!

Painted: (keep in mind it would match and wouldn't be such a color difference, but this is the best photoshop I could do right now)

What color car did you see it painted on. I honestly think it will look good when professionally painted/cleared the factory color but your thoughts have me wondering now.

My plan is to get a second rear section (bidding on one now) and experimenting with that. that way I can leave it stock or go the all tint route if I just don't like it.

If I do like it, and other members really like it, then I thought about offering to do other members cars as well being I will have a spare rear section, I would paint it the color of their car and ship it to them, then they could ship me back their original one etc..

Thanks for the opinions guys!

Tint the whole thing. Definitely don't paint over the center.

I dunno, I am still leaning towards painting it. The full tint just doesn't flow well with the car.. maybe if it was a black car, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like it doesn't match at all, being nowhere else on there car is there black.

I even did a photoshop on this GXP, and I think it looks great. I'm starting to think it must just be me though?
