One word... WOW! Very nicely done and not a bad write-up to boot. I was wanting to get HID'* for our newly acquired '02 SSEi... I may seriously consider this for myself. Any info on your row of LED'* you installed? Looks INCREDIBLE!

I want it. All totalled, what did you spend?

If we sticky this, don't forget to remove the dead Ebay link in the first post.

I have purchased a pair of STS headlights to do the retro... I was about to start gutting the headlights and found that even though I purchased a pair of Halogens, one of them that I received was an HID without the ballast or bulb. I'm waiting for a response from the seller to see what he plans to do. After looking closer though, I have found that with the Halogen low-beam, when the bulb is installed in the socket, there is space around where the bulb goes into the STS reflector, where dirt and moisture could enter. This is fine with the STS housing because it is fully sealed from the elements by gaskets and covers. This however will NOT work with this conversion because the projector housing and bulb socket aren't enclosed anymore. Back to the drawing board! I'll take some pictures along the way to hopefully add to the already GREAT how-to thread!

As I mentioned above, the first issue I have come across is the fact that the only projector and reflector housing that is completely enclosed is the Xenon HID. All other projector and reflector housings are partially open from the back. The hi-beams at least have the bulbs seated all the way down into the reflector housing with an o-ring, but the Halogen low-beam doesn't. Obviously the bulb, reflector, and projector housing have to be completely enclosed from the elements since unlike the Caddy housings that are completely enclosed to the world, the Bonne housings aren't.

Do you possibly have any additional pictures of your project? Anything showing the backside of the Bonne housing after the projector assembly has been installed? Did you have to overcome any open housings? If so, how did you address this issue? I hope to receive my additional, replacement housing from my eBay vendor so I can get everything matched up.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. If you have additional pictures, I would really appreciate your passing them along. I'm just trying to do my part of imitation... the purest form of flattery.

Thanks in advance.

As far as putting them in I used a couple bolts and alot of seal all, seal everything up from the back and u'll be fine.
The halogen ones will work. Just make something to seal the hole in the back of the stock assembly.
I needed some spacers too.
Not sure if those sts lights will work they have a different bracket I think.
