not a bad idea.? i may just ask him if he is willing to repaint it if i can take some time in the parking lot and remove all my headlights, taillights and gog lights and have him clean them while they are off the car and if i can also tape it up myself..

but then again if the paint comes out messed up again he might say its my fault because i insisted on preping it myself so therefore if he does another crappy job it will be my fault and i wont be able to hold him responsible.

but yeah i think tomorrow i will make it over there and talk to him to see what exactly he is willing to fix and repair and to see if i decide to leave it there..

The more you let them prep, and do ALL the work, that much less than can say is your fault, and not thiers. Only offer to dismantel and tape yourself if they don't offer to d oit as part of the fix. Also, make sure you have proof of them stating exactly what they will do to your car and what to expect. Last thing you want is hearsay in court (of it goes that far) as to who thought what was supposed to happen.

You gotta give them a shot at fixing it, otherwise any future court case you might have will not be ruled in your favor. Also, keep in mind, if you do go to court, you are not likely to get a judgement for any amount greater than what you paid for the paint job to begin with. With that in mind, say you do get a judgement for what you paid for that horrible job. Do you think the other shop, (that wants to be know as the guy that fixes MAACO paint jobs), will be able to fix everything for an amount equal to or less that what you received in your judgement (if you prevail)? I doubt it. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. There is no excuse for the overspay I have seen in your pics. As far a prep work goes, for the price you paid, I believe MAACO does nothin more than a chemical prep, which means spray the car with some sort of conditioner that cleans off wax etc.

well i took everyone'* advice and i dropped the car back off at maaco to give them another chance to correct the issues they caused. the owner ( AL ) who was practically kissing my arse kept repating himself over and over

AL - ( so if i repair the car to your liking then you will not seek legal action against me for damages right.? ) and he asked me this like 5 or 6 times in about a 15 minute conversation we had when i went over the car and pointed everything out to him...

so we talked and he said the car will be ready next week some time and he also stated that after he ( repaints the car ) and fixes my radiator , foglights and everything else then he will have a guy spend a whole entire day doing nothing but a clean up of any over spray..

so i hope it comes out pretty decent because i have spoken to the magestrate and they said i can sue for more then what i paid only.,., i can sue for the cost of what it will be to repair the car back to normal condition plus cost of a rental car while it gets done and ( possibly reimbursment for any loss while not having my vechicle. ( what ever that means )

so yeah wish me`luck as i need it.

but all in all he did seem like he wanted to correct the issues and he was extremley nice so lets see what heppens next week.

TO BE CONTINUED......................................... ...........................stay tuned.....................

I have been following this thread intensely for awhile now and I am impressed with the headway you have made thus far and I am hoping that the problems will be alleviated.
Anxious to see how this comes out.
