It doesn't matter if you use LG or Mothers or Turtle Wax, because in the end, 95% of the consumers out there do it all wrong. This is why prep is so important. Shoot, I still come across people that didn't know there is a difference between wax and polish!
BEFORE I apply ANY type of wax, I go over my car with a claybar (after a good washing of course), because polishing while there is debris in the paint will just scratch the finish, and waxing over debris just seals the debris. People I run across say they detail their cars in a few hours and I am like "P'shaw!...it takes me a whole weekend!"
BUT, to keep on topic, LG is pretty darn good shtuff. I use that and Zymol.

I agree with all of that, except the fact that you say you cant detail your car in a few hours. You can easily wash, clay bar, and polish/wax a bonneville in a few hours.

Greyhare has this problem on his Jetta. Nothing he ever tried would make his left rear quarterpanel shine like the rest of the car. But with LG, he goes about 6 months 'matching', then has to re-apply.

No water required. 60-seconds to a perfect car.
