Default Lil Rust

K.. sure you guys somewhere down the line has run into this.. There'* lil small marks of rust forming ( pencil size ) that I want to tackle before it gets worse.. going to get my commutator cleaner brush ( well meant for it.. but it'* the same as those you see in WAllyWorld for removing lil rust areas ).. sand the rust off, and get a bottle of the GM paintbrush thing ( doubt I can color match my car from the sunshade )..

My question is this..

1. What do I use as a clear coat so that it blends in without it being bumped up?

2. How large of an area in relative should I sand away from the rust to help smooth out the above ??

3. Where can I get color matched paint that ACTUALLY matches the shade is?? I know there'* places like Rona or home depot and such that has one of them fancy color gun that they maybe able to take off from the car to match the shade.. but how well would it last on the car??

4. Any other tips / tricks and know hows??

treat the area around the rust spot as well. use a thin primer after sanding then 2 thin coats of paint. wet sand 2000 grit when dry then another thin coat of paint. Fininsh with a clear coat and wet sand flush.
