I'm sure all it is , is a Relay under the hood.

with the relay removed wont the DIM and IPM turn on the headlights?
I thought i read in the FSM somewhere..if the relay is removed or the DRLs malfunction it kicks on the headlights....

Not sure if that works, but that'* what I just found I assume 2000 on up would be the same, not just 2001.

For 2000+ Bonnies you will have to remove the DRL relay in the underhood fuse block, then fabricate a jumper to be placed in the relay socket that was just vacated by the DRL relay. The jumper needs to be placed between terminals 30 & 87a in the socket. You just disabled your DRL'*. Just one other thing, if you have perimeter lighting, you will lose the DRL function.
