Disabling DRLs in a 2000+

Has anyone done it before?

I'm sure all it is , is a Relay under the hood.
The question is..why?
I like my DRLS

with the relay removed wont the DIM and IPM turn on the headlights?

I thought i read in the FSM somewhere..if the relay is removed or the DRLs malfunction it kicks on the headlights....

"2001 Pontiac Bonneville Remove relay #30 in the fuse panel under the hood"

Not sure if that works, but that's what I just found ;) I assume 2000 on up would be the same, not just 2001.

The jumper needs to be placed between terminals 30 & 87a in the socket. You just disabled your DRL's. Just one other thing, if you have perimeter lighting, you will lose the DRL function. Hope this helps, any questions just feel free to ask.
