Default Fuel Rail Polishing

Finally got around to cleaning the dingy looking fuel rail with LPS Pre-Solve and then aluminum polish with Dremel tool pad.
I think overall it looks a whole lot better now!

The FPR and Thermostat housing are also shiny now.

Long weekend, warm weather, got motivated.
When folks ask about my car they are pleasantly surprised, when I lift the hood.

Looking good. I have the time but I'm lazy.

Pretty!

If I did that to mine, I'd have to keep that noise cover off so I can always see how pretty it is.

I couldn't throw it out, so I'd have to do something with it.

<fade to CathedralCub'* imagination>

Honey, why is an engine cover hanging on the wall of the dining room. I already told you it'* not art!

<fade back to reality>

Well . . . it was a good idea while it lasted. I guess it'* non-shiny fuel rails for me.

I listened to Mike a long time ago, & got rid of it. The Buick runs cooler with it permanently gone.
Even at -30c the heater was still super hot, never installed the cover again.

I've driven with it off a couple of times back when I lived in the desert but didn't notice a difference except for a little more engine noise. I didn't care about the additional noise, but being a bit of a fan of originality I decided to put it back on.

Argh, everywhere I go!

People'* reaction to art the first time they see it is extreme. They either love it or they hate it. If they love it, they will always love it. If they don't, they may learn to appreciate it, but it will never become part of their soul.
