Part at Villa!

Alexcoqui, your work is amazing. Surprisingly, my door trim isn't too bad yet. There are some nicks and dings in them. I'll definitely be doing this fix eventually. I would hope the vinyl tape will hold up well and resist most scratches and other effects of the weather, etc.

I still want to see how it looks on the top part, especially that bend right you can see in the picture at the back of the rear door. Seems like the vinyl would have ripples in it at the bends.

I so wish that I could go to one of the mettings & meet some of you Bonne-lovers. People dont understand me around here, everybody is a rice-lover.
Anyways the black tape is really flexible & wont ripple cause a bend like that, it would have to be like a 90 degree bend to create ripples & if you have a heat gun, you can make it bend as far as you want.
For the trims I did, the bottom ones... Try to take them out. On both sides of the part where the tape goes there are ruber seals. What I did is that is that I cut a strip that was about half an inch thicker on each side than what I needed. stick it to the window molding, the tape will go over the ruber sides. use this ruber things to cut the excess material. I did this with a blade, slowly & not to hard so that the blade wont get stuck on the ruber & damage it. afther there is a perfect straight cut, with a finger you pull the ruber away from the middle pice & with a nail push the tape between them. Do this all the way from one corner to the other. Then after is in all the way use that plastic thing you use to install the window tints & slide it from one corner to the other, this will make the tape stick to the surface inside really good.
One more thing, before you do this make shure you clean inside there with a tothbrush & some degreser. it gets dirty inside there.

Dont know if I was clear enough but if you have any ?'* just ask.. & good luck.
