I was talking with a guy at a body shop a while back regarding the fiberglass vs aluminum hoods. He felt that they were, in general, good hoods, but that there would be trade-offs. Mostly in the sharpness of the edges, and how well it may line up with other body panels....at least with the ones that he had seen.

I suspect that hood will need a lot of work. Over on one of the Oldsmobile boards there has been a lot of discussion about aftermarket fiberglass hoods. There are one or two good sources that typically require a little bit of sanding and such to look good, but others need a ton of sanding, cutting, etc. to actually fit right.

But then the A body hoods are much more complex than these newer hoods, so maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

I would go for it, only I hate that big Copyright logo right on the hood. Talk about the sanding just to get that crap!
