I'm thinking of making a few inexpensive upgrades for my 01 SSEi.

Dual tips are very very sexy and they give the car that unique look. However my friend told me that dual tips are restrictive and I should just get big straight tubes instead. Any advice because I really am still leaning towards dual tips.

What are the size of the stock 01 SSEi pipes in case I wanted to fit exhaust tips?

2.25" is the stock exhaust pipe for the tail section. I just put duals on mine. I don't see how they are more restrictive. The little bit it takes to split the pipe isn't going to change anything performance wise. That is just dumb. You will need to get bigger or smaller than that to slide it on if that is what you choose to do. I had mine welded in and bent correctly to look right and fit right. http://hottexhaust.com





Rolled edges look a little cleaner. I liked the bent up ones to fill the cutout a little better
