I dont think you screwed anything up, just maybe modded in the wrong order a little bit. dont beat your self up about it. I'm sure it will be running great shortly.

lol im not down about it, but I dont want to advertise things I dont have. Its going back in regardless anyway. Tomorrow I should have an opportunity to see about that EGR adaptor. I hope it works and that theres nothing else to surprise me. Im going to sandblast and paint the pulley brackets and all the other mounts and stuff so it should be almost fully assembled soon. The gasket kit I bought was missing one end seal and the egr gasket. Guess I wont need the 94 egr gasket afterall.

Where did you get the idea or advice to port the intake and not the exhaust? Who did the work for you?

What size are the intake head ports? What was done to the valve bowls? Valve seats?

The LIM outlet ports and head intake ports are the same size as the gasket. The valves and seats were cleaned up with grinding compound. It sounds like Im missing a lot of information, so what do I need to do to make this work properly?

EDIT: Should this be moved or split to performance and brainstorming?

Don't run the heads. Those intake ports are way too big, especially considering no change on the exhaust side. If nothing was done in the valve bowls, it'* even worse. You're going to have HORRIBLE reversion due to way too much volume on the intake side, and no method to evacuate it on the exhaust stroke.

Simply put, whoever ported those heads had no clue what they were doing. Or at the very least didn't care.

Would opening up the ehaust make the heads useable? If I got differant heads there would be a big lip on the intake side, so Ide need a new LIM as well.

BTW I went to the JY today and found a 93 with the old style egr with the newer front manifold tubing. Too bad the tube was broken but at least I know exactly what Im looking for

No, your intake side is grossly over-ported. You need alot more work than that. Reversion will kill your performance and fuel mileage.

You need to go back to stock heads with a port-matched LIM. Or you need to Hog out your bowls and open the exhaust abou 10% AND add rockers..

For the differance it will make the LIM ports measure 1" x 1.9" (so the injector inlet wasnt affected too much) and the head ports are 1" x 2". From what Ive read now .9 x 1.9 is more like what they should be.

Flow is a SQARE function. Do your math again and pull the heads off.

X times Y equals area.
