Default Do not USE EagleOne All Wheel & Tire Cleamer on WARM rim

I used this on my rims that were a little too warm, and it took the paint right off

now it is near impossible to get the brake dust/black stuff off, since the aluminum surface is screwed up. I think having the bare aluminum out might have "oxydized" sp? and now they are screwed.

Just a FYI.

well if its down to the bare metal now and the paint/finish is gone on all of the rims, then just use eagle 1 etching mag cleaner, it will rip the dust and everything off of it right away, and destroy any finish/paint on the rim

If you do... I will nominate you for the riciest Bonne award.

Now let'* stop hijacking and get back on topic.

There are many cleaners that seem harsh. I noticed the labels usually state for you to spray on and hose off in a minute or less.

Did you leave this product on too long by chance?

good point Bill....the cleaners that are made it combat brake dust do need to be harsh....if you let the cleaner on the rim and it was hot it made the cleaner dry faster....

Or the heat allowed it to get further into the pores of the metal and penetrate the coating.
