Yeah, theres that. And then there'* the fact that the minute you drive anywhere, it'* just as dirty again. It'* a losing battle...
I don't wash it as much in the winter. There is so much salt crud on the roads, even if I washed it, it would get dirty on the way home. (gotta love Michigan) I washed it recently on a nice day we had, and put some wax on it, so it'* good for a while.
During a one year time period i'll TOTALY clean the car about 5 times. This includes exterior wash and wax, interior clean/ vacume/ leather treatment, rims ( more like 10 times a year), and engine compartment.
The water will freeze, it'* cold out, i'm tired.. all EXCUSES! If I drove my car, I would wash her everyday that it isn't snowing. Take some hot water, put it in a bucket, wash the car down. Then, repeat until car is clean. Dry car off with shammie [sp?], or one of those water blade things [I use a wiper blade
]. Clean car.

I do the 'dirty detail' thing, I usually just try to get the salt off at the quarter car wash and then I wipe the windows down, but is really is a pain in the *** when the car already has slush stuck to the side of it by the time you get home
