Default clearcoat problems

has anyone run into this problem? on my red 94 SSEi the clearcoat on the roof, and rear decklid seems to be flaking off...i remember All the cars having prob'* with the paint in the late eighties or early nineties. i'll just have to bite the bullet and get 'er painted again.

Our equator members do find paint and clear coat issues popping up. Being one of them... it seems you would be a likely candiate for issues.

my 95 was originally a southern car.. and the roof and trunk lid were beat.. normal you could say

in the early 90'* it was the primer that was the problem.

But like the others have said you car is getting BEAT hard by UV rays. its likey that your cars clear was to thin or it was a low quality clear ( given you said "repainted AGAIN")

I am in the midatlantic region and lost my clearcoat in spots on my spoiler of the 95 Bonny I had. It also had almost 200,000 miles on it, with most of the driving on interstate highways. Driving on the interstate is like driving through a sand blaster.

The car was garage kept and parked under a parking deck at work for most of it'* 9 years of service to me so UV was not a big problem.
