Cleaning and painting/powdercoating engine parts
Well since I am re-doing the L67 for my T I want make it look good. Nothing overly flashy or colorful just simple. Anyway. I have all the parts like the Idler brackets, the front cover, oil pan, etc that are aluminum and are being very stubborn when it comes to cleaning. So my first question is: what do you guys suggest for cleaning bar cast aluminum parts?
Also I want to paint or powder coat the idler brackets and I was wanting to know if there is an easy way to disassemble them. They look like they could be a PITA .
Lastly I know people do it all the time, but I was going to pain my N* TB but want to make sure I get the return spring back on right, any suggestions?
