Default Clay Bar

I don't know much about clay bars, but I just went out and bought a Clay Magic kit form Autozone after just reading about the pros of using a clay bar. They also had a Mothers kit, but it was $6 more, and the woman working there said that in her opinion, Clay Magic was a better name. What brands do you guys use, and did I get a good one?

I've always gotten Mothers, cause it comes with the detailer spray.

I have used and still have some of both brands. Both work well if used properly. If you run out of lubricant some dish washing liquid mixed with water will work and perform just as well as the lubricant that comes in both kits.

Cut the bar in thirds before using that way if you drop the bar on the ground you have only lost one third of the bar. A word of caution, if you drop the bar then throw it away or shave off the side that dropped. The dropped bar will pick up sand and dirt which will result in scratches in your car'* finish.

I've used meguiars and mothers a lot. I'm still undecided which I like better.

I guess it comes down to if you are in the mood for the mothers or meguiars lube smell
