Default Aurora light bar mod

hey folk'*
i'm looking for that special individual, that'll take the time to help
someone like me,(little electrical experience) with a project i'm working on.
(was that some sucking up, or what)?

anyways, i did a mod to the light bar on the back of my 97 Aurora.
if ya didn't or don't know the factory, never install any lights in that bar.
and over at the ACNA club forums.everybody used LED strips of varying
colors,
i tryed that with cut down 18"clear in the middle and two red 9" top and bottom

the center strip acted off the brake lights, and the top and bottom off the running lights
well i got it all together,it worked ok i guess but i wanted somthing brighter (pun intended)
and not what everybody else did.
this is the original thread over there.and how everybody was doing it
http://aurorah.proboards.com/index.c...d=20373&page=1

so i got another light bar from the boneyard, and went with duel 3057 bulbs
and this is my alternative to LED lights.i did a write up

end result

(ya,thats off a grand am)
don't look half bad in my opinion, the lights that is (and the spoiler too for that matter)
the whole bar works with running lights, and each side works with the directional and brake lights

hope i'm not boring ya, so i'll get to the intention of this post!
i had a 67 cougar a long time ago, and the Sequential Turn Signals ruled! (67 chargers too)
and i'd like to do this, but i haven't the proper electrical knowledge to get there

after market setups for the cougar parts are a ton of money, might not work right.
and the setups are dif for all model years, and even the XR7 is dif within the same years
from the base model....................whats a guy to do? LOL

the original component(cougar), worked by a triggered rotating contact
switch, that fired each bulb as it spun around.

well ya thats dandy and all, but i'm sitting here looking at my christmass tree lights
blinking in sequence, and know somehow thats key to making this work!

i'm open to any ideas, the cheaper the better. the easiest the best!

i know some changes will need to be done, with the bulb thing
like a divider to compartmentalize the bar, individual bulb scockets.
and i should have used a clear light defuser from a drop ceiling the first time around
to eliminate any hot spots, ay live and learn, right?

some links to maybe extrapolate an archetype

thanks for reading about my little quandary, look forward to any help
