Yes I do, but it'* the same color that cars that come with HID'* have. It'* not the brightness that people hate. It'* the odd colors that are hard on the eyes and people not aiming them right that people don't like.

then im sold on getting the hid kit...... im not doing it for looks , actually the benefits , i work at an auto parts store and i tried all the lights that are out there halogens, cool blues, silverstars, and silver star ultras, and i really didnt like em... i know what mouse means by the annoying glare they give, when i had my 90 300zx twin turbo... i had hid'* on it but i had to adjust the headlights so that they are not aimed to high to the point its blinds oncoming cars....when i get them for my pontiac ima adjust them so it wont blind anyone...i like the 12k purple but the 8k blue looks better...

5000k is the brightest usable light. You are correct. Most HIDs start at 6000k though, don't know why.

I really like 5000k, I have them on both my cars. It provides good usable light, and (to me) looks just like a factory HID equipped car when approaching. But you guys are right, 5000k isn't easy to find, not everyone carries it. A lot of companies skip straight from 4300k to 6000k. 6000k and up is too blue for my tastes, 4300k isn't blue enough.

Yes, in a lot of locales the really blue or purple lights are illegal. 6000k is the best bet when getting HIDs.
