Default Internet Speeds

Our local cable company(***) is now advertising internet speeds of 1000Mbps, and they are claiming this is faster than the transfer rate between the hard drive and motherboard. Here is a screenshot of the *** webpage...

So, they can match SATA speeds now?

I am thinking they are referencing the write speeds of mechanical drives.

Only SSDs put out in the last 5 years have been able to saturate SATA transfer speeds from what I have seen.

It'* a tall claim admittedly, but not quite as far fetched as it may seem on the surface.

I wonder how long they will use this pitch. It'* definitely true of most mechanical drives ever made, giving them a lot of runway for that campaign. "Many" is an opinion of an estimate so they'll probably use it for years off and on.
