Jackson Tn, And yea I know it cant be that hard but I think the dude was just trying to scare me out of either doing it myself or getting someone else to do it They need some diagrams or something for this procedure on the web.

That lil notch is supposed to macth up with the 0 isnt it? cuz if so then that has to be the prob. its not there any more and I know me and my hood mechanic set it but we didnt replace that gear. then another dude told me to just get another motor cuz thats like the first steps on rebuilding a motor. but man Im a broke azz college student.

Oh, to set the timing? I wouldn't expect it to be 0* go to www.autozone.com and put in your car. Go to Specifications on the left and Specifications on the right, then to Timing Specification on the right. It'll tell you what to set the timing at. A chiltons' or haynes will tell you the same thing.
