Carb problem-Carter
yea!! i have a 66 bonne too!! mine isnt as nice as yours, but, i took off my old carter, which worked aboslutley perfect, btw, and put on a quadrajet, which works.. even better! anyway, yea, definately accelerator pump. the carters have two positions you can put them in, for more fuel, put it on the one that gives it the least leverage, and most travel.
If you have an aftermarket, open-element air cleaner, fuel will evaporate from the bowl over a period of a week or so. My convertible does, so I just use a little dish detergent bottle filled with gas to prime it before I start it for a drive rather than run down the battery cranking it.
If it'* overnight, as you say, the accelerator pump (as many above have suggested) is bad or weak. Just replace it and you'll be good to go.
