Default autronic eye

I recently picked up a vintage autronic eye kit..does anyone know which side of the dash the dealers installed these on in 57?

Also...the eye was shipped in a grey/ilver lacquer, was it common to paint the eye to match the interior?

Have you looked at similar cars on ebay? You might be able to find a picture that helps you determine where it goes.

Left Side

As you can see they did paint the autronic eye to match the interior color.
This happens to be one from a 59 Olds 98 Holiday
